Backwoods Framing & Engraving is a small, family-owned business, located near Red Wing, MN. We opened Backwoods several years ago with the thought that we could offer a valuable service at an affordable price. As we look to the future, we’d like to “retire” from our day-to-day jobs but still keep busy doing something we love. Backwoods Framing & Engraving is that something.

As a small, home-based business, we can maintain low prices so everyday people like us can afford to have beautifully framed art in their homes. Nearly everyone we talk to seems to have a print, photo, or poster lying around because they simply couldn’t justify the hundreds of dollars it takes to have it professionally framed with one of the “big guys.” Let us show you how you can hang that favorite picture in a lovely frame without breaking the budget.

Over and over, it has been great fun for us to take in a piece of art and find out the story behind it. Why is this piece important enough to frame? By learning some history, we can give it the “home” it deserves. It’s amazing how just the right choices of matting and frame can enhance your favorite picture or photo.

We keep adding services to more fully serve you, our customer. We now offer laser engraving of awards, trophies, promotional items, and personalized gift items. Recently, we have added Full Color Dye Sublimation, which gives us another venue to provide awards, trophies, and gifts in brilliant, full color way. All work is completed in house.

We also offer a full line of promotional products and can personalize choices according to your business or request.
